RV Captain's Chair

RV Captain's chairs bring a new level of comfort for the occupants. The difference between these seats and standard RV bench seats is night and day. The chairs provide plenty of leg support and make driving long distances a dream. You can select one that is styled to fit your personal size, not tightly, but rather comfortably with properly fitted seat belts. They are also designed with a secure head rest. Driving from Captain's chairs is very much like doing it from your personal armchair if you choose the right one.

There are two types of RV Captain's chairs to choose from:

Class A Captain's chairs

These seats are usually designed to stay level with the main floor of your RV. They also have a swiveling base that makes it possible to use them as dining room chairs, or to view the TV or other designated focal point in your RV living room such as a fireplace. Class A chairs may be built to recline thanks to enclosed ratchet-release mechanisms that are covered for seat belt safety and to give the seats a streamlined appearance, and an Ergo-flex leveling am system. The seats themselves have additional options such as a built in heat or a remote controlled massage feature that ensure your comfort throughout your ride or drive.

Class C Captain's chairs

These are the smaller brothers to the Class A RV Captain's chairs. The major difference between these two types is that Class Cs do not usually recline. Additionally, unlike the Class A type that are built to rest on the same level as the interior of the RV, Class C motor home chairs are built to be fixed in the step down cab of the interior. It is vital to select one that meets your needs and level of comfort.

Both classes of RV Captain's chairs utilize a stamped steel frame of heavy gauge wielded tubular steel for durability and safety. Back spring suspension and sinuous wire seat back provides maximum support. Our Captain's chairs feature steel inset arm structure padded with molded polyurethane foam for comfort. The seats themselves come standard with high density polyurethane foam cushioning, sculpted to create long lasting contoured comfort and uniform density. They are covered in a material of your choosing. Some of the options are Vinyl fabric, a durable polyurethane in either ultra-leather or halo leather and a top of the line Kashmir fabric which is classed for heavy duty wear despite being super soft.

Your RV Captain's chairs are installed so they stay in place when the vehicle is on the move and do not become flying missiles in the event of a mishap. RV Captain's chairs can either be installed on swivel pedestals or 6-way power pedestals depending on your needs. Swivel pedestals offer a 4 position swivel that is able to do a complete 360 degree turn but only locks when in the front position. You only need to pull up on the locking handle to rotate or push down for free rotation. On the other hand, 6-way power pedestals are adjustable RV seat bases designed for use by individual with mobility disabilities. The power base makes it possible for you to move the driver’s seat by as much as 16 inches horizontally or 8 inches vertically, and to swivel up to 100 degrees.
